Do I need a doctors referral for physio?

No. Physiotherapists are qualified in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal injury and pathology. You will however need a referral for DVA, EPC, Workers Compensation, or Motor Vehicle Accident physiotherapy claims.

 Do you treat Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) for physio?

We can provide treatments for Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) Gold card patients, and for approved areas on a DVA White Card. Please ensure that your bring a current DVA referral from your GP when you attend our physio clinic. Your treatment is bulk billed.

What about Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) Rebates for physio?

EPC Plans are Medicare incentive based programs that are designed to provide physio, exercise and rehabilitation advise for clients with Chronic Conditions for up to 5x sessions per year with a government subsidy. See your doctor to see if you qualify the criteria for referral under the care plan program. These include diabetes, obesity, musculo-skeletal injuries (including lumbar and cervical spine injuries as well as chronic conditions of the knees and shoulders), heart disease, high blood pressure and arthritis. There is just a small gap payment. We don’t compromise on the quality of the care you will receive.

Do you see patients under the National Disability insurance Scheme (NDIS) for physiotherapy?

We can provide physio services for persons with a self managed plan.

Do you bulk bill physio?

Bulk billing is only available for DVA physio patients. Please get in touch to discuss options if you are experiencing financial hardship. We aim provide the same quality care to all patients regardless of renumeration.

What should I wear to my physio session?

Comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the body area in question. Shorts are ideal for lower limb, knee and hip assessments and singlets for upper limb, shoulder and neck physio sessions.

Is there parking on site?

Yes. Free parking is located onsite

How long are physio appointments?

For most consults at Jenkins Physio allow 20-30 mins to allow time for adequate assessment, treatment and education around booking schedule, recovery timeframes and relevant exercises.
